Let Me in The Room!

We spend our whole lives chasing fulfillment. It’s why we are never satisfied, always wanting the next best thing.

It’s the “If I just _____ I will feel _____” narrative.

If I graduate I will feel purposeful.

If I get married I feel loved.

If I lose 10 pounds I will feel confident.

If I make six figures I will feel stable.

In this world of constant want, fulfillment is our heart’s biggest desire.

If there is one thing I have learned in 2023, it is that you have to have a greater “why” behind your everyday life, or you will feel unfulfilled.

I market alcohol for a living. Promoting consumerism can be hard for me at times, but that is not my biggest “why.” Why do I choose Mom Water?

I am creating a community for people online.

I am giving moms their space to relax.

I am learning how to start a business.

And many more. If it was just about making money and selling alcohol, my heart would never be satisfied.

Recently, I got an intern at Mom Water (Hi Maddie! 👋). Teaching Maddie about social media marketing, giving her the wings to create her way, and allowing her to bring her ideas to the table has been a newfound passion of mine.

I learned I love teaching. Teaching is my greater “why.”

This year, I have been thinking a lot about storytelling through a brand. I believe good storytellers are some of the most sought-after employees on the market. Having a good story is what connects people to your brand, ultimately being the reason a consumer adopts the product.

What is the common denominator between my love for writing and my love for marketing? Storytelling. Telling stories is my greater “why.”

Going into 2024, I want to do more of those “whys.”

Which is why I am beginning this blog series.

I will be sharing stories of trailblazing females in business to be an inspiration for those hoping to do the same. It is storytelling and teaching at its finest!

Working in social media, my job can be very public-facing. This has opened the door for me to have many conversations with girls who are interested in the industry, need a little inspiration, or just don’t know where to start (been there).

When you are just starting out, it is hard to get any experience without having experience. You just want them to let you in the room!

My hope for this blog is to let you in the room.

I want you in on these conversations. I want to give you the inspiration these girls gave me.

Heck, you all inspire me!

You are my greater why.
